    Since graduation from LSU, Mr. Bowlin has been continuously employed by Ragland, Aderman & Associates, Inc. as a structural engineer. He has performed field investigation work on deteriorated structures, designed structural repairs and performed analysis for new as well as existing structures. Proficient in the use of in house 3D structural analysis and design software.

     

    Mr. Bowlin was a design engineer for:

     
    • Port of Greater Baton Rouge - Structural engineering services for piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation structural supports and coordination for the Port of Baton Rouge Genesis Improvements.
    • Southern Recycling, New Orleans, LA - Designed new dock and scrap handling facility including 975 feet of dock and wharf structures for shredding machines, conveyors ferrous and non-ferrous buildings.
    • ExxonMobil Dock, Baton Rouge, LA - Assisted in development of steel repairs and replacements.
    • Axiall, LLC, Lake Charles, LA – Building K306 - Performed structural analysis and prepared repair design of existing reinforced concrete industrial building requiring rehabilitation due to chemical corrosion.
    • Axiall, LLC, Lake Charles, LA – C-Chlorine Piperack – Analyzed piperack structure, designed repairs for structural steel with severe chemical corrosion.
    • Noranda Alumina LLC – Dock Retrofit – Added several bollards to existing structure.
    • Mississippi Phosphates Plant, Pascagoula, MS – Performed structural analysis and prepared repair design of existing 6 story reinforced concrete industrial building requiring rehabilitation due to chemical corrosion
    • LOD Cook Hotel, LSU, Baton Rouge, LA – Designed the structure for a new 5-story reinforced concrete hotel building including concrete columns, beams girders and one-way joist slabs and all pile foundations.
    • Pennington Basic Science Building, Baton Rouge, LA – Structural design of a 5-story medical research building with reinforced 2-way waffle slabs, concrete beams, girders, columns and pile caps.
